Obverse
Obverse — laureate head of Nero right, NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS; the fleshy late-reign portrait, attractively toned
Reverse
Reverse — Jupiter enthroned left with thunderbolt and long sceptre, IVPPITER CVSTOS around; surfaces porous with old pitting at center

Attribution: Italy. Rome. Nero. c. 64–65 AD (reign 54–68 AD). AR. denarius.

Obverse: Laureate head of Nero right

Reverse: Jupiter seated left on throne, holding thunderbolt in right hand and long sceptre in left

Weight: 2.82 g (my scale); tag: 2.81 g (Tag weight from the earlier printed ticket; Zauche's handwritten tag gives no weight.)  Reference: RIC I 53
