Antioch, Elagabalus Tyche Octassarion

Related — This coin as CNG e-Auction 614, lot 487, 29 July 2026 - the auction photograph. A large, heavy bronze with even red-brown surfaces; the laureate bust reads clearly with the drapery visible on the left shoulder, which is the detail that makes this the rare variety. On the reverse the seated Tyche, her mural crown and veil, the grain ears, the leaping ram above and the swimming Orontes below are all legible. The flan preparation marks the house notes are pre-strike, not damage.
